Can you imagine, that this is as promised the next card I made after I designed this Annie image? It has been almost three months since... But here is this month's Sketches: Creatively Yours sketch and my birthday card. <- Well by that I mean a birthday card for me - it is my birthday today :)
Annie is colored with ProMarkers. Well I didn't put a bow on her as I told I would, but I think she's pretty enough anyway :)
I used sentiment stamp that came with my PaperCrafts Inspirations magazine - I cut it in two and then shaped in semi circle shape when I put stamps on my acrylic block.
I have used some scrap papers that lay in my scrap paper pouches, so I'm glad I got to use them.
Here's the lovely sketch:

I Just Wanted To Play...
Truth be told, there's been quite a long time since I ever made a card just out of my wish to play with paper, color and stamps. But thanks so much to Moxie Fab World for Tuesday Triggers, I decided to grab my card blank, few butterfly stamps and my regular washable markers to just play with them.
I like this technique where I can randomly scribble markers on my stamp, then spritz a bit of water on it and just stamp away.
Sentiment on this first card says "amazing" - probably because it was amazingly simple to make this :)
I wanted to play around a bit more, but this one didn't turn out how I had imagined in my head, but never the less it is a card and so must be shared :)
This one says "You Mean So Much To Me".
Here's the inspirational trigger:
Have a playful day,

Marker Holder - FD: Fabulous Friday - Rolled Paper
I suppose everyone of my followers have noticed that I love it when I get a chance to upcycle something, so this time when I had to think about rolled paper for my Fabulous Friday challenge, everything that came to my mind was - toilet paper tubes.
All I actually did was to wrap 7 tubes with scrap papers and then add punched white paper and strip of heart patterned paper. Then I cut base from chipboard and covered that with patterned paper and white doily.
Next I hot-glued all tubes to my base and that's it - marker holder was ready. But then I decided that I want some colored images - well it is a MARKER storage and what else do you do with markers than color images?
If you wish to know how I colored that cherry blossom image, you my subscribe if you haven't already to Digi Doodle Shop's newsletter and in May issue there will be a step by step tutorial just for that.
And I will enter this holder into these two fabulous challenges:
Passion For ProMarkers - cut it out challenge and
I Love ProMarkers - floral image challenge
How about some upcycling?

Bon Appetit - S:CY sketch #412
There's just something about vintage... It just appeals to me even thou I don't make projects in vintage style as often as I would like to! This month's sketch from Sketches: Creatively Yours sure inspired me to use lot's of my scraps and vintage silverware napkins I have brought home from Germany last year.
I also decoupaged some scrap text paper with rose napkin to make it into my focal point. Then I added some string, lace and lovely Bon Appetit tag I found in internet. Some paper flowers and those lovely berries or whatever those are.
I have laid out four different scrap stripes for my background and distressed edges to all of them. then I glued over napkins with silverware images. Underneath each image, the color of background paper actually shows through.
Here's the sketch:
Enjoy and Bon Appetit if you're dine besides your PC like I often do,

It seems that Blogger was working against me and didn't autopublish my card on time, but here I am doing this now...
Last week my baby Emilia turned 3 and I wanted to make something interesting for her. Until now I had only made base for Neverending cards, but never actually finished them. So now I thought it was time to change that.
I chose these tow absolutely adorable images from Digi Doodle Shop - Sweet Smell and Fascination from On The Fun Side of Animals category.
I chose these images mainly because they are horizontally and can be split into two separate images to fit in my squares.
After first opening card you get "Happy birthday" sentiment and yes - in our language this is made out of 4 separate words :)
Then there are this lovely image. That blue patterned paper was actually made by me - just needed a nice paper with clouds and didn't have one!
And last but not least, this page says "Enjoy the day" and "Kisses"
Emilia really likes turning her card over and over again and honestly - what more joy could a mother have, when her child is happy?
Have fun and take care,

One Fine Summers Day - FF:Fabulous Friday - Weather
I couldn't think for what to make for this week's weather challenge over at Frosted Designs: Fabulous Friday, but I definitely new that I wanted to make rainbow.
So rainbow it was! I had this rainbow colored paper that I cut in 1,5 cm strips of 8 colors. Then I started with inner arc and concertina folded all strips - must say that I added double sided tape in the other side of strips.
I thought that colorful rainbow should be complemented with bold patterns in title and clouds as well. It is very rarely that I make my titles from patterned papers, but this one actually looks great.
I cut out girls from the photo because they were in front of a big recycle bin and it looked not so very nice. I also love those colorful journalling tags - especially how the one behind photo actually looks like grass and sky.
In the end I thought that my LO looked a bit empty, so I hand-cut this weird sun.
I hadn't made such fun and colorful layout for a long time and I really enjoyed it!

Festival Of Riga 2011
You could say I had an itch! An itch to make some colorful LO with bird diecuts in it. So when I saw those fabulous colors of this weeks Color Combos Galore, I decided to go with them and scrap away...
To match my bird design I found pictures of Riga Festival last summer (If you don' t know Riga is the capital of Latvia) where my girl and her cousin David made clay whistles in the shape of birds.
I used just 3 colored/patterned papers - the rest is inked with Distress inks - Crushed Olive and Broken China. My diecutting didn't go as smooth as I planned it - Silhouette was not cooperating with me that day, but never the less it turned out quite nice.
Title once again is diecut with inked surface of Worn Lipstick and then covered with Glossy Accents to match my epoxy flower stickers that had been in my stash for far too long time.
Here' s the wonderful color palette:
Color, color, color your world in the shades of joy,
